The durability of Seaqual canvas
It’s no longer a secret that plastic is the primary source of ocean pollution and, by extension, of the destruction of biodiversity. To highlight this problem, but also to provide a concrete solution, Seaqual canvas is created from plastic waste collected in the water or on beaches. The plastic is sorted and recycled in the form of synthetic fiber, which is then used to create new objects while saving materials and energy resources.
But that’s not the only advantage of Seaqual canvas! It’s also comfortable, durable and resistant to swimming. For even greater comfort, Avel and Men has chosen to line its straps with microfiber and a suede finish that’s particularly pleasant to the touch.

The convenience of quick release watch straps
No matter what kind of timepiece you’re wearing, choosing the right watch strap can bring significant benefits in terms of style, comfort and functionality. To enable you to change your look to suit your mood, Avel and Men has chosen to equip its brown Seaqual canvas watch straps with quick-release pins.
Thanks to them, you can change your strap easily, quickly and without tools. Simply press the small lever on the strap pin to release it from the watch in the blink of an eye. You’re then free to wear it on another watch, replace it with a strap of another color or, why not, with a leather strap.
What kind of watch goes with a brown strap?
Brown is a reassuring, comforting and elegant color that evokes nature, tradition and stability. Simple yet different from the more neutral black or grey watch straps, brown can be used in a wide range of combinations, whether with a city watch or a more distinctive tool watch.

Avel and Men Larmor-Plage or Port-Louis: how to choose your brown watch strap?
As you may have noticed, the brown Larmor-Plage and Port-Louis canvas watch straps are strangely similar. In fact, the two Breton towns are very close to each other, and both offer great sailing opportunities for sailing enthusiasts. It’s no coincidence!
Our brown Larmor-Plage canvas watch strap is our basic model. Both the strap and loops are in brown canvas, with a microfiber finish for maximum comfort. It is the more simple and discreet of the two models.
The brown Port-Louis uses the same base, with a blue-white-red bridle stitch. It pays homage to french watchmaking expertise, while reminding us that Avel and Men watch straps are made in France, in small workshops committed to perpetuating the use of traditional leatherwork techniques.
